Persons interested in learning more about any aspect of building peace—from analysis of conflict to monitoring & evaluation—are invited to apply to take one or more courses at the Summer Peacebuilding Institute (SPI). Held in four successive sessions from May 7-June 15, 2012, SPI specializes in short-term, intensive courses for training or master's-level credit, including ones on humanitarian action, development, restorative justice, understanding psychosocial trauma, mediation, and organizational leadership. This year, SPI will offer tracks in development, with courses ranging from Conflict-Sensitive Development to Humanitarian Action in Conflict and Complex Emergencies; and healthy organizations, with courses from Leadership for Healthy Organizations to Multi-Party Problems: Negotiations, Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building.
