You may have noticed that the site changed its look recently. In a drive to make the site design clearer and more professional, I have changed about everything you got used to ;-)

The whole thing is still work in progress, but please let me know what you think of the new design (color scheme, fonts, border elements, etc.), point me to existing inconsistencies and where it totally sucks.

Best,

Peter

The new design is much cleaner, well done. One problem: the old design is still in place on the personal pages

Also, I think the vertical red dividing lines are superfluous and a little cluttering. Although I am something of a minimalist so perhaps that's just me...

You are probably right about the dividing lines. I have taken them out for the moment and will see if people have problems navigating the page without them.

Concerning the personal pages: You can reset your My Page appearance by going here (Settings -> My Page) and clicking "Reset your My Page theme to the network default."

I really like the new design!

Thanks!

I think the new design is fantastic. Its minimal and the color scheme is nice and original.

I don't know if looks like this to everyone but "Resource Library" is on a new menu bar of its own. Design wise I think it doesn't look good but I assume you'd have to take away one of the menu options for it to move up. Thats up to you guys.

Just a question - Are you eventually planning on making the big AidSource title (on the right side, below the menu bar) into a kind of logo? Or at least more distinct? I think it would be an interesting design goal to put on the to-do list.

I like the new options at the bottom of every groups page too, by the way. Good idea.

Thanks! A logo is something that will come in as soon as I have the time to sketch up some ideas. I will probably propose two or three sketches to the community and hope for feedback.

Of course, if you feel creative, you can sketch up a logo as well and post it here. The more the merrier.

Regarding the menu bar: I do in fact have two more menu items on the second bar, so I did not recognize this as a problem. Could anybody else give me feedback on how many items you have in the second line of the menu bar?
