I know people have photos of all sorts of foods. And we tend to have some competitive spirit amongst us.  Your prize is bragging rights and you and your photo featured in the foodies section.  I am very much looking for photos so that I can remove the fried fish one that denotes our group and the Teamhouse Kitchen right now.

How to participate:

Attach your fave foodie photos under this discussion thread and members can 'vote' for the photo by hitting reply under your response and saying: this gets my vote.

You can vote as many times as you like for different photos and I will go for the photos that get the most votes.

Edit: This was going to have a deadline attached to it but let's keep it going as photos are coming in and we are LOVING IT!

Really looking forward to seeing the gems people have!  Stories with photos very welcome.

A typical, delicious, and healthy plate of food from Uganda. And, of course, the strong ginger soda known as 'Stoney Tangawizi'.

Dude, where in Uganda...I never got to eat like this there!

I know this one is going to make all of your mouths water. Homemade sticky rice and mango in a Philippine village. As if a meeting with a rural women's group wasn't fun enough, they manage to make this on the spot during the meeting itself! No leaving early from this one!

Gorgeous! Masarap! Next time you're headed to the Philippines, Aaron, drop me a line!

The flower salad was de-li-cious! From the Bohol Bee Farm in southern Philippines. And the pasta was divine.

Bohol Bee Farm is one of my absolute favorite foodie spots in the Philippines! Others include:

* Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay - the capital region equivalent of Bohol Bee Farm

* Antonio's in Tagaytay - a splurge but worth it

* Maya in Cebu - hands down, the best Mexican food I've had in Asia. Actually, it's up there with Mexican food I've had in Mexico, California & Illinois

All in Manila?  Can you add that to where to eat/fave places to eat discussion group, please please? x

And the best one for last. The night before, I had tied a small fluorescent light bulb to a tree to work under after daylight hours. Midway through a workpaper I was swarmed by winged termites. My colleagues helped bat them out of the air into shallow containers of water and sweep the ones that landed on the ground and dropped their wings into piles and later into buckets. The next day, we fried them up and had them for lunch. They weren't that great, but they sort of beat the chicken gizzard I had been eating three times a day as the community's special guest.

Oh my you have been stocking up some fine photos on your travels. This one sure beats pickles as a side dish. I enjoyed your photos, thanks (please feel free to invite me for paella making...)

Yeah, and I've got more too. I don't know why, I just end up with a lot of pictures of my food. Guess that's why the foodie group is the first I joined in Aidsource.

Grilled boneless chicken with homemade bread and that divine sauce from a corner dimly lit take out shop in Maadi, Cairo. Happy days!

nom nom nom!  I am headed to cairo, actually so am feeling pretty inspired food wise now...thanks!
