I just finished reading “The Big Truck That Went By: How the World Came to Save Haiti and Left Behind a Disaster” by Jonathan Katz and wanted to share my impressions of the book. http://sm4good.com/2013/01/23/book-review-big-truck-world-save-hait...

Posting to this group as an FYI. You can RSVP via their Facebook page

You are invited to stop by the Haiti Communitere base for project demonstrations, information sessions, and networking. On Saturday, March 31, we are inviting everyone to come check out the great things our volunteers and partners are working on right now. We'll have stat...ions providing information about services offered at the resource center, our alternative building showcase, and some of our current projects. It will be the perfect opportunity to get a first look at our Ubuntu-Blox house. The month of March has been a busy one, full of trainings and construction. Ubuntu-Blox inventor Harvey Lacey will be available to talk more about the Ubuntu process, and Lorin Symington of ASTRA will talk about his solar cookers, which are being built here on the HC base.
Event Schedule: 2:00-5:00
Open House 5:00-6:00
Presentations 6:00-8:00

Mingle/Networking
Light food and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here and feel free to email info@haiti.communitere.org  if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there
