Comment by Pia on January 10, 2012 at 10:08am There is something about the term professionalizing that makes me think of the term group-think...get everyone of the same caliber, so to speak, of professionalism (a loaded term, to be sure), and watch the innovations dry up. I'm new to this initiative so I'm chiming in ignorantly...but am also interested in more on the cons side of professionalization.
