What aid jargon do you hate?
Or if you hate hating, what aid jargon makes you roll your eyes and click on to the next thing?
"Maximizing synergy", maybe? Or "facipulation?" How about "capacity building"? Or "voluntourism"?
Let it all hang out in the thread below...

Permalink Reply by M. on October 15, 2012 at 12:13pm "capacity building", "ownership", empowerment"....hate them :-), moreover when accompanied by a visual narrative full of brown babies (either smiling or starving) and veiled women in front of computers...
Permalink Reply by Andreailcujo on October 16, 2012 at 10:52pm I agree on the probably almost veiled illiterate veiled women in front of computers
Permalink Reply by Andreailcujo on October 16, 2012 at 10:51pm I truly hate teacher's training. And many mobile teacher's training team.
I do not understand why health and education staff are treated differently.
Permalink Reply by M. on October 17, 2012 at 2:31am wel I normally "hate" all visual narratives used in the humanitarian sector...veiled empowered women have sometimes replaced malnourisehd brown babies but still.
I hate also the categorizations these narratives (visual or verbal) entail and produce, and their crap consequences at many levels.
