"I tried Basecamp a few times but never got really into it. But I know loads of people who love it. Well, I suppose not all tools are for everyone ... :-)"

"Hi I use Freshbooks which sounds similar to Harvest. it's not free, but it has changed my life in terms of accounting, invoicing and on line record keeping. Freshbooks is good for accountability because clients can log in and view time…"

How much time do you give people to pay?

How much time do you give people to pay your invoices? I've done everything from 15 to 60 days (UN agencies who have to funnel the money though a third party with whom they have a partnership agreement). My default is 30 days but I cannot say that the length of time given to pay seems to have any effect on whether people pay on time. See More
