Have you heard about the Global Wellness Center?

This site was developed to enable volunteers, development/aid workers and global humanitarians to access supportive, empowerment-based counseling from any corner of the globe.

Transitioning to a new environment, adjusting to a new culture and working in the face of human suffering can be both rewarding and overwhelming. Depression, Anxiety, and Vicarious Trauma are issues that many humanitarians face.

Workers and volunteers often experience feelings of sadness, lack of energy or enthusiasm, feelings of guilt or responsiblity, excessive worry, nervousness or depression. It is not uncommon to begin asking BIG questions like, "Why am I here?", "Am I really making a difference?", "Why isn't everyone outraged by this?".

This is difficult work and let's face it - none of us are exempt from the highs and lows of the human experience. The Global Wellness Center offers a valuable opportunity to nurture your own wellness and to restore balance in your life so that you can actively pursue your personal and professional goals.

Utilizing video conferencing (Skype), email and telephone, the Global Wellness Center makes it possible to have weekly therapy sessions with a licensed psychotherapist from anywhere in the world.

If you are looking for extra support and guidance in restoring your sense of balance and personal wellness, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
